All About Kanz

Matt Kanzler is an American Director/Photographer/Editor/Colorist/Designer/Writer - but it’s simpler to just call “Kanz” a storyteller.

He splits his time between Los Angeles and New York City on commercial and editorial projects. His work has been featured in renowned outlets such as Vogue, Billboard, and Good Morning America. Whether editing a cinematic featurette for Apple TV+, developing content for Netflix, shooting a commercial for TikTok, or editing a music video for your next favorite artist - Matt’s work spans all types of production from entertainment & music to brands & fashion.

Matt has shot for a wide variety of musical artists on the stage, and in the studio. His vibrant (and often viral) content for global brands has racked up millions of views around the world.

As a Director, Matt has helmed the set of numerous fashion films for Perry Ellis, Original Penguin, Wacoal, Btempt’d, and many more. His work in music has led to craft music videos for charting topping artists Jack Harlow, Armani White, and Bryce Vine, in addition to industry legends like the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Matt has also created music videos and content for a long list of rising acts, including: Swimm, Phony Ppl, Pell, Louis Futon, Spencer Sutherland, Naia Izumi, and many more. He has also directed documentary projects for world leading conservation organizations OCEANA and the Wildlife Conservation Society.
